Pat, we have all the scorebooks from 1947, except 1978. Some of them are barely legible but they make fascinating reading. Also Christine has several years of averages. Plenty for you to get started on.

Ok, but what would be interesting is to try to find out about the early days, the 1947 vintage, are there any survivors and was there country house cricket at Church Meadow before WW2 ?

Roy Glover may be a source of information about the early days. An old lady once told me that there was cricket on Swan Meadow, in Ash, between the wars. Unfortunately, I did not get her name.

There was a local character called Derek Wise who used to get in The Swan 30 years ago; I may try to track him down (he would be about 63 now but I have not seen him around for some time), he had some anecdotes about early Ash cricket.
